In partnership with Oregon’s Problem Gambling Resource, Pollinate launched an evergreen PSA campaign supporting at-risk gamblers. The Safer Play series reflected the organization’s ongoing effort to use more inclusive, non-stigmatizing language, and to create content devoted to moderation. 


The look and feel for this project was created in order to be arresting, compelling, and most of all, budget-efficient. Not to be deterred, we accepted the creative challenge, and developed a unique animation style. Using hand-drawn rotoscoping on top of stock footage created a distinct tone, and allowed us to represent a person’s evolution in order to change their relationship with gambling. The result is both haunting and inspiring, meeting the viewer where they are in their journey.
