Since 2017, Pollinate’s Dev, Media and Creative teams have partnered with Oregon’s Teacher of the Year program. Year after year, we continue to be in awe of the state’s most exceptional educators — and that they trust us to tell their story. Needless to say, the resulting documentaries are some of the most inspirational pieces that come out of Pollinate.
Once the final result comes together, we bring it statewide with an integrated media campaign, and an announcement on the website for further information on The Teacher of the Year, plus a place to nominate a deserving teacher for next year.
Pollinate designed and launched the Oregon Teacher of the Year website in 2019, featuring support for all stages the site would be in throughout the year – Nominate a Teacher, Application Phase and Winner Announcement.
When our 2021 Teacher of the Year was announced in the Fall of 2020 (during the height of the pandemic), we couldn’t bear to tell her story by way of screen-recoded Zoom interviews, so we tested, masked up, and sent a crew of one to film with her during a single day of remote learning.
